Natalia Voronchikhina, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Udmurt Republic, arrived at the Uva-Moloko plant on a working visit. The focus is on the implementation of one of the largest investment projects in the dairy industry in the region.
Uva-Moloko is rightfully considered one of the industry's flagships: it produces a wide range of dairy products, including semi-hard cheeses, powdered milk and butter. Especially significant is the fact that Uva-Moloka is one of the ten largest processors of raw milk in Russia and is a leader in the production of powdered milk.
In 2023, the plant launched a large-scale technical re-equipment project. The plans include the construction of a new receiving and hardware workshop with advanced equipment from the Packaging Systems company (Tetra Pak's successor), as well as the modernization of engineering infrastructure: boiler, compressor, utility networks and an increase in the capacity of wastewater treatment plants.
The total investment is more than 2 billion rubles, of which 555 million are aimed at updating engineering systems. About 1.2 billion rubles have already been invested. The equipment has been delivered to the site, and construction and installation work is nearing completion. Installation and commissioning of the equipment is scheduled to begin in November.
These changes will not only strengthen production capacities, but also open up new export opportunities and expand the geography of supplies.
