MLK Group is the largest dairy processing holding in Russia. The company ranks among the top 10 Russian companies in terms of raw milk processing and cheese production, and is included in the top 20 Russian companies in terms of revenue. The group of companies includes the Uva-Moloko factory in Udmurtia and the Kasymovsky and Apastovsky dairy plants in the Republic of Tatarstan. The total processing capacity of the group’s facilities reaches 1,000 tons of raw milk per day.

Organizational change is a routine yet strategic measure implemented by management to achieve long-term objectives. Transformation of structures or individual business elements becomes essential in adapting to a constantly evolving market environment.

Due to shifting market dynamics, MLK Group has made a strategic decision to reprofile the Kasymovsky Dairy Plant — shifting its focus from traditional dairy production to ready-to-eat meals and warehouse logistics for export.

According to preliminary estimates by Infoline, the ready-to-eat meals market in Russia grew by nearly 40% in 2024, surpassing 1 trillion rubles, excluding the traditional HoReCa segment (source: Kommersant).

Within MLK Group, the flagship enterprise is Uva-Moloko in Udmurtia, with a raw milk processing capacity of up to 800 tons per day. The fast-growing Apastovsky Dairy Plant in Tatarstan specializes in cheese and dry dairy products. “These two facilities have shown a 70% year-on-year increase in export shipments compared to 2023. Scaling up production naturally leads to increased demand for raw milk and its processing. This is why we launched a major upgrade at Uva-Moloko in 2024, particularly focused on expanding intake capacity,” explains Svetlana Shetabi, Development Director.

The Kasymovsky Dairy Plant has an excellent logistics location with a developed transportation network, large modern refrigeration units, well-designed production layouts, and a robust infrastructure. As of April 1, 2025, the plant will undergo partial modernization along with the development of a new business strategy and updated market positioning.

Previously released products under the Bereketle brand will now be produced at a larger facility with no compromise in quality, ensuring that loyal consumers can continue to enjoy their favorite products with confidence.

For MLK Group's leadership, it is a priority to ensure the company remains in the growth or stability phase of its business lifecycle. This strategic repurposing of the Kasymovskiy facility reflects that commitment.
